WHAT WILL YOU DO TODAY?

What will I do today?

As I begin a new day, regardless of what I must face, I realize; “This is the day that the LORD has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

I am facing an awesome responsibility as I prepare for our Wednesday night church service. I look forward to it with dread, not in the bad sense of the word, but knowing that I will be speaking to the purchase of the blood of Jesus Christ. This is the local body of Christ that gather according to scripture at Living Word Tabernacle.

I must prepare today for what the Lord wants me to say tonight.

I need to know what the people need the most.  Perhaps someone is on the edge of despair and ready to give up, or another that is discouraged with sickness and really needs to be encouraged in their faith. There could be someone that needs correction by the Word, because of secret sin, which must be dwelt with.

There are many things that a pastor does not know about the people, but God knows. The Holy Ghost is interested in the lives of all His children, and they must be carefully cared for.

I face that responsibility today, as I said with dread, less I say or do the wrong things.

What will you do today?

What is your responsibility today? Perhaps as a husband and father, you will face many difficulties today. If you are a wife and mother the laundry needs to be done, the house cleaned, and supper prepared for your family.

Even children must do the right things today, they are not free to do as they choose.

Each of you should face today with joy and dread, to do the right things, that which God has placed you on earth to do. Face it according to scripture, as the day that the LORD has made for you. Then rejoice and be glad in it!
