WHAT ABOUT HOLINESS?

WHERE IS HOLINESS?

What is holiness, and is there any today? God is HOLY and that is what makes His church holy - a holy God in the church. If every church would come to that realization, then holiness would return to those that call themselves the Bride of Jesus Christ.

Holiness has been lost, because – we fail to comprehend the holiness of a Holy God. It is not a holy church we need, or a holy man - that would be the spirit of Nicolaitans, of which God said He hates (Rev 2:6).

We need the Holy Spirit that will minister through the preacher and live in the congregation. None of us are holy of ourselves, and we constantly need cleansing by the Word.

God is holy, because He is absolute in purity, unstained by sin and evil. He is perfect in every way!

A CHURCH WITHOUT HOLINESS

Today, in the church-world there is very little holiness unto the LORD. Men and women approach a Holy God in the most casual ways. It is more about the flesh, with attraction that stimulate the flesh – an emphasis on activities for the youth, music that lacks the respect of a Holy God. worship that that moves the flesh and not the soul. The church-world is trying to imitate Hollywood and the beauty of the cosmos.

I like the Amplified version of Matt 5:48 - You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect. AMP

WILLIAM BRANHAM ON HOLINESS

A prophet to this generation (William Branham 1909-1965) made the following statement in his sermon titled, INESTMENTS, Nov. 16, 1963 -

“There are no big people in Christianity. That's the world does that. We are all the same size, sons and daughters of God, and not no ‘holier than thou art.’ We are children of God, by the grace of God.

I read in the Bible, that God told John, on the Isle of Patmos, that, ‘the deeds of the Nicolaitanes,’ He hated. Nikao, "conquer laity," to conquer the laity and put all the holiness in some certain men. Holiness is to all. The Holy Spirit fell upon the whole group. There is no holy man, anyhow, it's a holy God. We don't say ‘holy church, holy people.’ It's ‘holy God.’ We're not holy, but He is holy. Not a holy minister; it's the Holy Spirit, He ministers through the minister. It's not holy men; we're none of us holy.”

Unquote: Let us keep Christ (holiness) in our church, when in this last age of Laodicea, the church-world puts Christ out (Rev 3:20). No wonder there is no Holiness! No wonder the governments of the world put Christ out of the schools and public square, because the church put Him out first.
