THE CROWD Pt 4

In ministry we all enjoy a good crowd, the bigger the better.  It rises the level of intensity in a service and the response to what is being said and done.  But is the CROWD really receiving from the LORD, or are they moved by the CROWD, the intensity, response and influence of others?

JESUS EXPERIENCED THE CROWD

Jesus, as He was entering Jerusalem for the Passover, the multitude was there, they  took branches of palm trees and cried Hosanna, Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord, giving praise with a Lord voice.  Some where there because they heard of the raising of Lazarus from the grave, and others because of varies other reasons and they were rejoicing and praising God, fulfilling scripture (Zechariah 9:9). This was His official presentation as King to the Nation, He soon would be a "Rejected King." Therefore, Jesus encouraged it, "I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out."

A few hours later the same CROWD,  under the influence of the Pharisees, would cry; "Crucify Him" and desire the release of Barabbas.

THE CROWD REJOICING, JESUS WEEPING

Notice, immediately after the Crowd rejoiced, we find Jesus weeping over the people, because they did not recognize their day and their message.  It was hidden from their eyes, judgment awaited them for not knowing the time of their visitation.

WHERE WILL THE CROWD BE AT RAPTURE SEASON?

At the season of the Rapture, it will be, ONE here and ONE there (Luke 17:34-37),  "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together".  Our gathering in not to the Crowd, but to the revealed Word of our day.
