THE BRIDES'S MODERATION - WHAT IS IT?

Even we, as Christian's, forget our purpose and lose our sense of hope.  What was the churches' purpose and hope from its conception?   Whatever it was, shouldn't it be more urgent in our hearts than ever today.

The Apostle Paul said it this way; Phil 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand .

The word moderation in this scripture means gentleness.  The apostle is saying, let all men know and recognize your unselfishness and considerateness.  Let them see you forbearing spirit, mildness, patience, unwillingness to contend with them.  It is a meekness under provocation, ready to forgive injuries we receive from others with a sweetness of disposition while controlling our passions.

Why?

Paul immediately says, because "the LORD is and hand."  God is the Judge and is at hand to bring judgment and deliverance - He is coming soon!

That word of encouragement at the beginning of the church, should be the Bride of Christ's attitude and disposition today.  If so, what am I looking for?

William Branham, as a messenger to this age made the following statement; "Everything is looking. The Ford Company is looking to make a better Ford. The Chevrolet is looking for a better Chevrolet. Phoenix is looking to make a larger and better town. The nation is looking for more territory, so it can spread itself. The church, is looking for more members.  - But the Bride is looking for the Coming of her Lord."
