THOUGHTS ABOUT RUSSIA IN PROPHECY
TEXT – Daniel 12:1-4
WHAT TO WILLIAM BRANHAM TEACH IN REGARDS TO RUSSIA?
The following are a few of his quotes on this subject.

E-31 Now, "At this time..." He said. "And at that time," the 12th chapter...
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince that standeth for the
children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such was never since
there was a nation even to that time: and at that time thy people shall be
delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Oh, my. Aren't you glad your name is on His Book? When He's... Daniel over here
saw Him come to the Ancient of Days, whose hair was as white as wool. And He
opened up the Books, and they were judged, every man out of the Books: the
great white throne judgment.
E-32 Now, Daniel is given this assurance, that at the end of the Gentile
dispensations... Read the--when you go home, tomorrow read the 11th chapter.
You can see how the king of the north is coming down (which is nothing else but
Russia), coming down to press against it like a whirlwind. And the great battle of
Armageddon will be fought right there near the gates of Jerusalem.
Notice, oh, I love this.
... and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that's been found
written in that book... (the Lamb's Book of Life.)
Michael, the great prince, shall stand up. For what? For thy people. All right.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake... (When? When
these times take place.)... and some to everlasting life, and some to shame and
everlasting contemptment.".
DANIEL 11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him:
and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots,
and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries,
and shall overflow and pass over.

NOTE: Remember, an angel came to help the prophet Daniel understand the
vision. And what will happen to the Jewish people.
There will come a fire destruction of the whole earth.
Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud,
yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn
them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day,
death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for
strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

I hear great ministers saying, "The Russian is the antichrist." Why, the Russian has
nothing to do with the antichrist. That's communism. The faultry of Protestantism
and Catholicism has produced communism. The reason the Russians drove them
out of there, because they had all the money, and had all the prayers said to them
saints, so they built the biggest buildings, and had all the wealth of the people,
and bundled it up like that. And they seen they lived no different, and was no
different from any of the rest of the world, and they spued it out and formed
communism.
Now, if you'll give me one more night, if God does, I'll prove to you that
communism is working straight in the hands of Almighty God to destroy the
Roman... And remember, I say this as God's prophet: The Russian empire will
drop an atomic bomb of some sort on the Vatican City and destroy it in one
hour. THUS SAITH THE LORD. And the Bible said that God took them cruelhearted men and put them in His hands, and they were instruments in His hands
to fulfill His will, and to bring back to her exactly what she had coming to her.
That's exactly. That's the Word.

E-24 And I want you to notice this now, 'cause we have to cut short here on
account of the prayer line. Did you notice what the Angel said, "I can't do nothing
till you come hither." What was it? Was a message of deliverance. And before one
speck of fire could fall from heaven, Lot had to get out of Sodom. And before
one drop of rain fell from heaven, Noah went into the ark. And before the atom
bomb can strike this nation, the church will go in the rapture to meet the Lord
Jesus. And if the sputniks, and the missiles are set, and the hammers are pulled
back, the Angels are all standing in order. Hallelujah. The great corridors of
heaven is crowded full. The harps are all in tune. The great bands are already
practiced up. There's a homecoming time pretty soon, for the church of the living
God, who's been waiting His coming.
Everything's in order. I'm so glad. I'm getting so tired. Oh, for that great hour. And
to think that we've had a part in this junction time. Remember, "So shall it be in
the coming of the Son of man, when the Son of man is being revealed from
heaven." Now, remember, before the rain fell, Noah was in the ark. Before the
fire fell, Lot was out of Sodom, for the Angel said, "I can't do nothing until you
come hither. I've got the lever in my hand to pull and make the fires fall from
heaven." And I think that's exactly: the Angel of destruction is holding the hand
of Russia, with the atomic bombs, until the church comes together as one great
body of Christ. "I can't do nothing till you come hither." Oh, if that isn't a blessed
assurance. And if we see everything set in order, the going home of the church is
in order. Here's the Angel of God with the same message, performing the same
signs, the same wonders; everything's set in order.

27-1 Notice. That's God doing that. I know they're liberty monarch; they're a
bunch of heathens, but didn't God raise up heathen nations to straighten out
Israel in days gone by? The Bible claims that Russia and Communism is playing
right in the hands of God to absolutely rid the earth of the people, but before
that can take place, the rapture comes and takes the church home, before that
can take place. And if that is so close at hand, how close is the rapture? Closer
than that.

E-63 But remember, there wasn't a drop of rain fell till Noah got in the ark.
There was no fire fell at all till Sodom--Lot come out of Sodom. Jesus said, "It was
in them days, so will it be in the coming of the Son of man."
The church already is... It don't have to be judged. It's already been judged; for it
judged Christ, and Christ stood it's judgment. When we are in Him, we are free
from judgment. If God judges you, then He's unjust. Christ took our judgment for
us. "And by one Spirit we're baptized into that Body. He that believeth on Me has
Everlasting Life, and shall not come into the judgment," Saint John 5:24. "He that
heareth My Words, and believeth on Him that sent Me, has Everlasting Life, and
shall not come to the judgment, but has passed from death unto Life." Amen.
That's the Gospel. Oh, how happy we should be just watching and waiting for that
glorious time.
Now, but America condemns it, throws it out. They'd rather have their theol--
theology. Now, Jesus referred here to Solomon.

55-3 In Russia... I want to say this for the benefit of the veterans, and so forth
here, and you Bible students. What you fussing and hollering about Russia? You
don't hear me telling you to build a bomb shelter, do you? What you fussing
about Russia? Russia ain't nothing; she ain't going to win no wars; she ain't
going to conquer no world. Communism isn't going to conquer no world. What's
the matter with people? Can God's Word fail?
Listen, it's on tape now. To the world I speak or wherever these tapes may go.
And to you people here, no matter whatever happens to me, you believe this.
Russia, communism isn't conquering nothing. God's Word can't fail. Romanism
is going to conquer the world.

91 Now, she knows that her time of deliverance is at hand. That's the reason
she's so nervous, flusterated, as she is, is because that there is a hydrogen bomb,
and missiles of the air that could destroy the whole world. One nation is scared of
the other, no matter how little it is. They got those missiles that they claim will
just... One of them. They can direct them by the stars and drop them anywhere in
the world they want to.
92 Russia, as I heard on news, other day, she claims that she can destroy this
nation, and--and keep the atoms or the things from breaking up her nation. We
don't know what to do about it. Everyone is making these claims, and it's so.
93 People's science has broke into God's great laboratory, until they're going
to destroy themselves. God lets, always lets wisdom destroy himself. God
doesn't destroy anything. Man destroys himself by wisdom, as he did at the
beginning, taking Satan's wisdom instead of God's Word.
Now, she knows she must give away. She cannot stand it.
94 Russia, I believe, would destroy this nation today, if she thought that she
could destroy it, and then preserve herself. Any of those little nations could do it.
But, they're afraid, because they know that this world cannot stand in its orbit
under such conditions.
95 So, the world knows that her birth pains is so great, she's got to give away.
There's going to be a new birth, born, at hand. I'm thankful for that. I'm tired of
this one. Any--any one knows that--that here is the place of death and sorrow,
and all kinds of discrepancies, and so forth. I'm glad that she has to give away. I'm
glad that time is at hand. As John said, of old, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

43 We believe that the Laodicean church started in A.D. 1906. I predict... Now,
remember, "predict," especially you listening at the tape. I don't say it will be,
but predict that it will end by 1977, that the church will go completely into
apostasy, and she'll be ousted out of the mouth of God. And the second coming,
or the rapture of Christ, might come any time. Now, I could miss that a year; I can
miss it twenty years, I could miss it a hundred years. I don't know where. But I
just predict that according to a vision He showed me, and taking the time, the
way it's progressing, I say it'll be sometime between '33 and '77. At--at least, this
great nation is going to strike a war that's going to blow it to bits. See? Now,
that's pretty close; it's awful close. And I could be wrong; I'm predicting.
Everybody understand say, "amen" if you do. [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.]
See?
44 But the Lord showed me a vision of the great powerful woman, in '33, 1933,
it's on paper. Of how that Roosevelt would cause... He helped cause the world to
go to war. How that Mussolini would make his first invasion to Ethiopia, and he
would take it, but he'd come to a disgraceful end. And how that then the three
isms (Nazism, Fascism, and Communism) would all wind up in Communism. And
how many in here remembers me just keep having you stand, and say it over
like that, "Watch Russia. Watch Russia, the king of the north. Watch Russia, king
of the north. Watch Russia, king of the north"? How many has heard me just say
this, wave that over, over? The old-timers (You see?), back in the early part of the
church. Just stand there and wave it over and over, "Watch Russia, the king of the
north. See, what he would do, for all those isms will heap up into Russia."

The third vision was in the realm of world politics for it showed me that there
would be three great ISMS, Facism, Nazism, Communism, but that the first two
would be swallowed up into the third. The voice admonished, "WATCH RUSSIA,
WATCH RUSSIA. Keep your eye on the King of the North."
