IT TAKES MORE TO BE A CHRISTIAN TODAY

What is a Christian?  Through the ages the LORD has been building His church, which is made up of what we call Christian's.  In the days of the Apostles to be a Christian is obvious to us today, we can read it in the book of Acts.  Through the dark ages to be a Christian, you would have to give your life to stand for Christ, while the Roman Catholic church put millions to death for refusing to bow to the Pope and their creeds.

LIGHT COME TO IDENTIFY CHRISTIAN'S OF EACH AGE

The light of the Gospel began to come as the Word slowly opened to the people, the elect in every age would receive it, which was the Holy Spirit anointing the present truth.  We can clearly see a process of Christian identification through Justification, Sanctification, and the Restoration of the Gifts back into the church (Pentecost).

The Holy Ghost, in every age would bring forth the elect, by the Word, which was the Spirit of God to those that could receive it. John 6:63 "...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit , and they are life."

THE MESSAGE IDENTIFIES US A CHRISTIAN TODAY

What about today, what constitutes a Christian?  Many are called "Christian" but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).  I believe the MESSAGE we believe has clearly identified the Christian of this final age of the church.  This is the age that is to produce the Bride of Jesus Christ for the Rapture, and it will take more than any other age to be A CHRISTIAN.

WHY?

Because more is given, and there is more to overcome than in any other age. It is clear in Revelation 3:14-22, "To him that overcometh..."

This was our subject preached Sunday morning "It Takes More To Be a Christian Today."
