ISRAEL IS ON EVERYONE'S MIND - & SHOULD BE

Israel is on everyone's mind. There is something about the nation of Israel that seems to cause an intense interest and a burden on so many today. Could it be, scripture fulfillment? "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people (Zachariah 12:3)."

Nations have always seen these people as a problem, they have even been a problem to God.  That is because He made them a special people unto Himself and for the world.  Therefore, the scripture is clear, regardless of the negative anyone my see in them, God has spoken; they are mine as a people and a nation and I will bless those that bless them and curse those that do otherwise (Genesis 12:2-3).

There are many nations' standing with Israel at this time of WAR, a war which they did not start.  We see ships, armies, mighty weapons of war being gathered all around Israel to help in their defense and to keep this for escalating into a bigger conflict.  These same armies and instruments of war can very easily be turned against Israel, very quickly.  Scriptural, one day they will, even this nation will turn against the nation of Israel. But God will fight for Israel as He always has done since they became a nation in 1948, fulfilling Bible prophecy.

Zech 12:3 "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."

Why does God care so much about the Jew?  The same reason He cares about His Bride, a people who have been chosen from before the foundation of the World, to be loved by Him.  God's love is Sovereign.

Personal, I like to apply the same promise in a spiritual way, to the end-time Bride of Christ, a promise He gave to Israel and must keep.

Deut 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. 7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: 8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; 10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

This encourages me!
