HOW QUICKLY DID LUCIFER PERVERT MUSIC?

I for one, love good Christian songs, those that have a message behind them, songs and music that stir the heart and not just an emotional reaction of the flesh. We have had some wonderful singing and worship as the atmosphere is brought to a wonderful place by proper music and singing.  I am thankful for a church that desires that, and strives for the presence of the Holy Spirit to come among us in every service.  Sanely, Sensibly, and in the fear of God.

HOW QUCKLY LUCIFER PERVERTED MUSIC

 Sadly, I see less and less of this. Why?  I have found, what the World calls music, and singing, becomes a part of the church almost immediately. There is a downward direction music and singing is going among so many today, it should not be - that is Satan in the beginning. When Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, he almost immediately polluted music (Genesis 4:16-21).  Music and good singing should always bring us into the presence of God, not an exercise of the flesh.

Brother Branham loved good singing, the right kind, music and singing that brought the true presence of God into a meeting.

WHAT DID WILLIAM BRANHAM SAY ABOUT IT:

"I tell you, I really like singing. You know, there's something about music and singing that brings the Spirit of God to the meeting. You believe that?" - WMB

"...our hearts tremble when we hear those old fashion songs." - WMB

"It's the joy unspeakable and full of glory. How the old saints of God used to set around and sing the redemption song, and sing of the Blood and the power of God. And today it's as cold as zero nearly. You don't have them old fashion songs you used to sing. You don't see their faces light up no more, and sing and clap their hands, and raise their hands to God, and praise God, pray all night, and lay out in the corn fields, and things." - WMB

"In the sweet by and by,

 We shall meet on that beautiful shore;

 In the sweet by and by,

 We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

How many likes them old fashion songs, raise your hands? I'd rather have it then all your fast boogly-woogly.  I don't like to see that in church. Church songs belongs in church, don't you think so? Absolutely. I love the inspired pen of those old writers." - WMB

"I like them old fashion songs. I'm just one of them old fashion type Christians; I love that meek, gentle Spirit that them songs bring over the people. Old blind Fanny Crosby wrote that song. "What do you think of Christ, Fanny Crosby?" She wrote this:

 Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,

 Hear my humble cry;

 While on others Thou art calling,

 Do not pass me by." - WMB

"How many loves them old fashion songs? Oh, you can take all of your little old chopped-up Elvis Presley, boogie-woogie. In the name of Christianity, you can have it. Give me those old fashion, heart-stirring love songs of the Gospel.

 Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of old,

 Heaven and earth are full of Thee,

 Heaven and earth are praising Thee,

 O, Lord, most High." - WMB
