CHRISTIANITY IS BASED ON RESURRECTION

The true Christian faith is so wonderful!  As an elderly person, if I had another 73 years to live, I would want to live it for Christ.  What I am, the original color of my hear, my skin tone, my height, and eye color, and all normal healthy characters of how I was born, who I am, God determined it before I got here.

Those original qualities, though the body gets old and wrinkled, my hair turns gray, shoulders stooped, and my eyes dim, they do not really ever change.  God took a picture of me in my prime, what He wanted me to be in the hereafter, and one day if I should go by the way of the grave, there will be a resurrection and what God gave me, and made me will be according to the same picture.

CHRISTIANITY AND RESURRECTION

Christianity believes in resurrection, in fact, Christianity is the only religion that is based on resurrection. This resurrection season is not just a special weekend, but it is what we are, something we should enjoy every day until  your change comes.

You will not be any different than a perfect you, the way God saw you in the beginning.  He will not forget one thing about you.

We had such a wonderful weekend of services this Easter 2024, a singing Friday night, Sunrise service Sunday morning and Brother George Smith with us singing and preaching.  The services are archived at our church website.

God had His picture fixed what He wanted you in the hereafter. Now, I believe in resurrection. Christianity believes in resurrection. The whole thing's based on resurrection.

Now many people think that they go down like this, they'll come back up some kind of a spirit with wings a flying. You'll come back up men and women like you are now. If this Bible falls from the platform down to the table, and to take another Bible and put in its place, that's not resurrection, that's replacement. Resurrection is bringing the same Bible up that went down. And resurrection's bringing the same person up that went down.

Now this morning you're old and gray and stooped shouldered. And mother and you are having lots of a lot of aches and pains and things that you used to not have, and it--it's changed. But remember, you're still serving the same God that brought you on the earth. Then it must be all in God's purpose to let you get this a way. But remember, in the resurrection you'll not have a gray hair nor a wrinkle. Everything that death has did to you will be forgotten in the resurrection.

God, when He got the picture painted, He said, "There they are. Now, come on death, but you can't take them until I let you do it." And then when you go into the dust and raise up again, you'll come back the same lovely couple that you was at the altar that morning, to remain forever that way.
