A PASTOR'S HEART TO A PASTOR

This month we celebrate Pastor appreciation in the USA. Since there are a number of Godly Pastor's that read this post every day, I wanted to write something to encourage each of you.

 FROM A PASTOR'S HEART TO A PASTOR:

I fear that the local church today is being misunderstood and placed far less important, by many, than what scripture allows.  Especially, with the insatiable thirst that people have today to be entertained.  Along with the advances of science, as was prophesied, with social media becoming so addicting that many have dedicated even their spiritual life to a church or pastor "on line" whom they do not even know or that knows them.

A Pastor is of eternal value to the LOCAL church, which the Holy Ghost places you to oversee. And that by; leading the flock spiritually, setting the right example, building up spiritually and preaching the un-searchable riches of Christ to those that faithfully assemble with you.  And doing that over, and over again.

 THE OX OF THE TEAM

You are typified by an ox, a beast of burden, with no glory or beauty in what you do. You labor expecting nothing apart from knowing you helped cultivate and carry someone else that needed you.

There is no higher office yo can have, no greater responsibility to the Lords Heritage than that. In fact, all other parts of the scriptural, fivefold ministry must be a part of a local church and have a Pastor.

 SOMEONE S DEPENDING ON YOU

A person's spiritual growth will be strengthened by such, regardless of the size of the church. More so than the biggest and greatest special Meetings one can attend. And regardless of who the speakers will be at such meetings.

The local pastor, of a big or small church, one who remains faithful to the flock, perhaps unknown and overlooked is not overlooked by God.  Do not be discouraged, your value is immeasurable to true hearts that desire a real Christian life.

God has placed you there for them, they are depending on you and so is the LORD that sent you.

You remember my sermon on the lily? Reverend Lily, how he toils. "And, yet, does he not spin. And yet, Solomon, in all of his glory, is not arrayed like one of these." He-- Look at him. He's ready to gi-....He takes nothing for himself. The lily don't care nothing about himself. What does he do? He throws his beauty out, his life, that others might see. His life is expressed out, that others might see the glory, what's in him, that was in him in that mud. Now he's on top.

That's the overcomer. He overcome the mud. He overcome the things of the world. And now he freely gives hisself out. Everybody can look at him. His life, you can't put a finger on it. See? He's a real overcomer. You can't say nothing about him now. Say, "He come out of the mud." But he's not in the mud now. He's on top of it. Amen. You can't now point back what he was. What is he now? He's on top.

Then the bee comes by and say, "That's wonderful perfume. I believe I'll go and get my part."

He just opens up his heart, "Come on now. All right." Everything takes from him. See? He, he's a REAL PASTOR. He expresses the Glory of God. And look where he come from. He had to overcome, to do that. - WMB
