What a joy it is to live for others. Those that selfishly live only for themselves, what they want, what pleases them personally is a sad life. They look for happiness only in what others do for them – which is a selfish, sad and a solitude life. However, when you got up this morning as a mother desiring to please your husband, care for and make your children happy and healthy, what a joy it brings to you.
A husband and father that gets up and begins to get ready to make a living for his family, regardless of how hard the job is - he looks with joy to complete this day that he lived for those he loves.
The preacher that looks after those that God gave him to guide. He receives such great Joy to have another opportunity to see someone else feeling good and blessed whether he is or not.
What an extreme joy is found in giving ourselves for someone else’s happiness, it is there we find our real contentment and happiness. Eternal life is living for others, not living for what someone can do for you.
In the sermon, THAT DAY ON CALVARY, William Branham said it like this; “Now, the first thing I want to say, is, Jesus never lived for Himself. His life was spent for others. That’s, perfectly, Eternal Life. When you say you go to church, and you do good things, that’s fine. But when you live your life to yourself, you haven’t Eternal Life. Eternal Life, is living for others. It proved it when it come in the Lamb of God. He lived, and had Eternal Life, because He did not live for Himself. He lived for others. And you receive Eternal Life, by receiving that day, and you don’t live for yourself no more. You live for others.” – WMB
