Seven times in Revelation 2 - 3, the Bible says; "To him that OVERCOMES." The word overcome means - to struggle successfully against a difficulty or disadvantage. As Believers we are allowed by God to struggle against disadvantages. The individual as well as the church of every age is faced with this, something that we must successfully overcome.
What is it that you are struggling with in your mind, in your physical body and in your life today? Can you overcome it? You must if you are a Believer. There has to be a way provided?
It is when you try to do it yourself that you fail over and over again. You say, "I can do it, I can do it, I can do it, but you do not! You cannot do it, neither can I. However, if you just hold steady and let Him do it.
YOUR PART IN THIS STRUGGLE
It is when you yield yourself and that which you must overcome to the LORD Jesus that you overcome. Surrender yourself completely to Him, and I will say that is not an easy thing in this day that we live because there is too much selfishness in all of us. We think we can do it, we think we are capable ourselves when we are not.
The first thing we have to overcome is ourselves, your idea, your strength and surrender yourself to Him. He overcame for you, He knows the way, we do not. It is then and only then will you have the power to successfully struggle against your difficulties. Your disadvantage then become helpless.
Is it "as-easy-said-as-done"? Not at all, but there is someone in this day that will overcome the worst the world will throw at them - I want to be one of them (OVERCOMERS) by His GRACE!
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
