WHAT HAPPEN TO "AMAZING GRACE?"

Mr. Sankey the famous singer that was used of the LORD during Dwight Moody’s ministry first meet Mr. Moody in a meeting, in which the singing was lacking, so he arose and sang with wonderful feeling -

"There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel's veins,
And sinners plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.''

The power and fervor of the singer's voice was such that it moved Dwight Moody. It had a wonderful effect on those that were present.

At the close of the service, he was asked to join with the campaign, and Mr. Moody told him, I have looked for someone like you a long time, you can do the singing, and I the preaching. The rest is history, as we know, many souls were won to Christ through the singing and preaching of these two heroes of the Christian faith.

DO WE EVEN KNOW THE OLD HYMNS ANYMORE?

The same hymns written by inspiration hundreds of years ago which continued to be sang by the Christian Church for years, are hardly ever song in the modern church today. In fact, many under the age of 50, do not even know they existed. They have been replaced by songs that are inspired, but where is the inspiration coming from, and where is it leading the people to.

The battle of Armageddon.

It is an end-time sign.  We recognize the obvious easily, but deception perverts the masses un-noticed.

WHAT HAS HAPPEDED TO THE HYMNS?

What has happened to; There is a Fountain Filled with Blood, Amazing Grace, and other old hymns we used to sing such as, Only Believe, Bless Be the Tie that Binds our Hearts in Christian Love, and Sweet Hour of Prayer.

The perverted culture in which we now live, have swallowed them up, and the church refuses to sing them or changes them to fit the taste of the people, with a modern rhythm and beat?

I believe some things should never change in the changing world (Heb 13:8).

William Branham said it like this after singing, Softly and Tenderly... I quote him: "You know, that's the kind of Spirit I love, that soft, tender Spirit of the Lord Jesus. Don't you just love that? It just seems like it just scours out your heart when it comes in. Softly, tenderly, Jesus is calling. I love those old time songs, the old hymns of the church. I like it better than a lot of this here dancing around and things we have today. I'm just an old fashion preacher, I just love the old fashion way. 'Nearer, My God, To Thee,' 'Rock Of Ages Cleft For Me,' all those famous old songs, I believe they were inspired as the penman wrote them under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Don't you believe that?"
