NOT JUST WHAT WE KNOW, BUT WHAT WE DO WITH WHAT WE KNOW

The book of Hebrews was a final message to the Christians in Jerusalem.  The Apostle could see a "falling back" by even some of the strongest of the believers in Israel.  They were lapsing back into Judaism - what they had been called out of by the Apostle Paul's teachings, and by that, pausing short of true faith in Jesus Christ.

A lesson in faith for us today.  Nothing can be mixed with or added to the message of God to make it better.  Our faith must carry us on to true faith in the promise given for our day.  Paul reminded those Jewish believers of their forefathers in the wilderness; Heb 4:2 "For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it."

The glorious message we have been given must also be mixed with faith alone, lest we come short of our promise.  As you read the book of Hebrews, you find that faith is a fight.  Faith is not always seeing results but believing regardless of the outcome (Heb 11).  It is a good fight, and that kind of faith will please God, it is an actions, not just knowing something that perhaps someone else does not know.

Sunday evenings Communion service at Living Word Tabernacle was titled - FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH.  www.livingwordtabernacle.com
