IS PERCEPTION TRUE?

PERCEPTION - It is the act or faculty of perceiving or apprehending by means of the senses or of the mind. Those senses include what you see, hear, taste, smell, or touch and can also be inward senses of imagination, memory, etc.

Perception is what someone perceives something to be, but it is not necessary reality. Reality is something that is true.
We live in a world of non-truths, in which we are being made to except as real. A boy can be a girl, or a girl a boy. Right can be wrong and wrong can be right, whatever you perceive it to be.

As Christian’s we can fall into this way of thinking. We are bombarded with things that effect our senses, but none of it is real. Especially, if it is contrary to the Word of God (Bible), or even opposite of common sense.

When we think wrong, because of what we perceive to be true, then our perception becomes a reality, “so-and-so don’t like me, when they really do, or “I feel all alone” and you are not, or “everyone is better off than I am” when you probably have more to be thankful for than anyone.

Perception is not faith, and the Christians life is a life of faith. Faith in a reality, even when you cannot see, hear, taste, smell or touch it.

Heb 11:1-Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

As a Believer, let faith dominate your life and not perception.
