DECEPTION
We hear some much about fake news. Why is it? It is a form of deception, and the Bible tells us that in the end-time people will want to be deceived (2 Thess 2:10). It is the working of Satan.
Deception is the act of encouraging people to believe information that is not true. And by it exert control over them.
WHERE DID IT START?
Satan was the first deceiver. He came to Eve, he was not mean to her, but took up for her, sympathized with her and made her feel right, in believing his deception. What for? To exert control over her. He succeeded and produced a Cain, which the apostle John said was of that wicked one (1 John 3:12).
DANGERS OF DECEIT
The dangers of deceit are many, it effects the life of the person deceived and the lives of everyone around them. Eventually reaping the reward of that which it sows – death.
In this day of great deception, always remember; there is safety in truth. And that truth is Christ the Word. Keep it, live with it, and let it be your comfort.
