COMPARING A FALSE & TRUE REVIVAL

What is a False revival?  It has all the attributes of one that is real.  But becomes a spirit of denomination that lacks humility.  Things that are superficial to God's will become paramount; numbers, pride, personality, control, money and then they begin to spare the things God's Word has told us to destroy. Just as King Saul spared Agag and the best of the things they were told by the prophet Samuel to destroy, because it pleased the people.  This is a spirit that will hate and persecute the true seed, those that do not follow their false revival way.

WHAT KIND OF WORSHIP DOES IT PRODUCE?

It is Cain worship, thinking God will accept their worship, and knowing what God has said, but because of the people, and the results they get, they believe God has accepted them and their false revival. Devil worship.  And the people gladly follow it, and if you don't you are considered a heretic.

"In every case the evil hated the righteous and persecuted the righteous. In some cases the evil destroyed the righteous. But notice. They were planted together. They lived together. They both made claims upon God and worshipped God." - Church Age Book

HOW DO WE REACT TO A FALSE REVIVAL?

Stay away from that denominational spirit, no matter how great it appears.

HOW DO I KNOW?

If you have the Holy Ghost, you will know, if you have spiritual discernment you will know what someone is trying to accomplish (motive and objective).  If you have the guide (the Holy Ghost), He will lead and guide you into all truth.  Where others, no matter how plain it is, they will never see it; "I don't see anything wrong with it, put your shoulder to our wheel and let's move this revival down the road (Even when it is false?)."  And when you don't go along with it you are considered a trouble maker and unspiritual.

Ah yes, this false spirit that in the last day is so close to the real, can be distinguished only by its deviation from the Word, and whenever it is caught in being anti-Word, it falls back on the one argument we have already shown to be false: "We get results, don't we? We have to be of God."

WHAT IS A REAL REVIVAL?

A real revival is an awakening.  You were asleep and something woke you up, therefore it is for believers.  It is a move of God, and that move is like the moving of the water in a lake during a storm, no more water than before, it is just moving, throwing the trash up on the back. The trash of sin.

That "move" which is an awakening (revival) has come as it was promised - a Message that woke the Bride (Matt 25).

It brings repentance to the believer, with a sincere desire to obey God's Word.

God doesn't make a public show of this revival - your pride might get in the way if He did.  A denominational revival will always seek for a public show, because they want public applause (pride).

When the true revival comes, there will be more dedication in the secret pray-closet, a sincere repentance, with tears of joy, and people moved by the Word and not superficially with that which excites the flesh.

I AM THE REVIVAL

A true revival becomes a Token Life on display "I am the revival."

"...if you got the Token, you create a spirit around you, a power, that when you walk, people know that you're a Christian. They love for you to say something to them. They believe your word. - William Branham, The Token

A true revival does not produce greater personalities in the pulpits, or more modern churches with the best electronics to get the people to worship.  A false revival will attract the worldly crowd and many times money.  A true revival comes to the poor in spirit, the helpless, and those with the greatest need for revival in their souls, with no outward show, but a deep lasting love for Jesus Christ and a greater desire to keep His Word.

PENTECOSTISM MISSED THE REVIVAL

Why could Brother Branham say in Shreveport Louisiana to the Pentecostal people; the following?  "I'm not looking for revival in our generation. I'm looking for the Coming of the Lord, in our generation."  Because they missed it, hoping for a Pentecostal outpouring of days gone by.

We are that revival many are still looked for, and it is living in the flesh of those that can receive it.
