King Solomon was considered the wisest man ever. A wisdom given to him by God, because he asked not for riches or honor but that which he would need to lead the people of God. Because he asked correctly God gave him that wisdom above other men, but also that which he did not ask for, riches and honor.
However, he died a backslide preacher because of the riches and honor and what it led to. No wonder Solomon would tell his sons; Prov 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Wisdom is certainly a great thing, something that is so important especially when it comes to being able to lead God’s people. There are many with natural wisdom or education that know very little of God’s wisdom. God’s wisdom comes from above.
THERE IS HEAVENLY WISDOM AND DEMONIC WISDOM
James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. NKJV
As Christian’s we should all seek the wisdom from above. There would be a lot less misunderstandings between people and a lot less bitter envy and boasting against the truth of others.
WISDOM FROM ABOVE
Wisdom from above is when God saw us in our lowest state, we may have been very critical of Him, but not He of us, He understood us better than we understood ourselves and knew there would come a time we would think and live different, so He provided a way for that to happen.
This wisdom that is from above is “first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” When you see a brother, or a sister and there are reasons you could criticize them, don’t. You do not know what they are going through in their life. One day the things that you criticize in someone else will get close to your door and then you will think differently. Make peace now by sowing peace, good words of encouragement, and a lot of heavenly prayer, not knowing when you might have the very same situations to deal with in your own life. Then you will change your tune. Ask for knowledge from above to understand those you don’t understand.
There is an old American Indian proverb that says, “Don’t criticize a man until you have walked two moons in his moccasins.” Two moons refer to, two months.
Criticism is easy when it is about the other person. The Word means: The expression of disapproval of someone or something based on perceived faults or mistakes.
Wisdom from above is made clear in the following quote.
LIVING.DYING.BURIED.RISING.COMING_ JEFF.IN _ 59-0329S
He was the greatest, the first representation of love that ever hit the earth and was despised of those who lived on the earth, to whom He loved. No man could ever love like Him; and no man was ever hated like Him. They hated Him, and despised Him, and rejected Him, but it did not stop His love. They laughed when He was hanging on the cross, after that life that He had lived had been done nothing but good things, forgiving the guilty, healing the sick, and done things that were good. When He was last breaths on the cross, with the vulgar mocking spit of them who stood by hanging from His sacred face, He cried with a heart full of love, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
He could understand. Being God, He understands. That's why He could love us when we're unlovable, because He's God and He understands. "Living, He loved me." Never a life lived like it, because it was wrapped in love. – William Branham
