7 MAXIMS FOR 2023

The English word, "MAXIM" - a short forceful statements expressing a truth or correct conduct.  Solomon wrote many in Proverbs; Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. 2 Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips (Prov 27:1-2).

In the New Testament, the little book of James uses many "maxims" such as; ...let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath (James 1:19).

As we began a new year Sunday, I enjoyed speaking of seven "maxims" to encourage us in our Christian walk as Believers in 2023 and through life. These were not resolutions, but maxims to write down and remember. Not all will fit everyone, however some will fit all.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed preaching it as my first sermon in 2023.  It is archived following this post.

"SEVEN MAXIMS FOR 2023."

1. Always Speak the Truth.

2. Have a Sweet Hour of Prayer.

3. Create Good Habits.

4. Help Those You Can, Many You Cannot.

5. Shun the Culture of the World/

6. Reject Today's Politics.

7. Be Loyal, it is a Lost Virtue.

and a bonus maxim - Fully Live Today, Not Tomorrow.
